City Ethics Commission

Updated

The City Ethics Commission administers and enforces the City's governmental ethics, campaign finance and lobbying laws; only its commissioners can make final decisions on enforcement actions and legislative recommendations, and three votes are needed to act. The Mayor, City Attorney, Controller, Council President and Council President Pro Tempore each appoint one of its five members, subject to Council confirmation, for staggered five-year terms (Ethics Commission).
