Measures
- County Measure A: Binding arbitration for County public safety unions
County Measure A would change the Los Angeles County Charter so that contract disputes between the County and the unions for its firefighters, deputy sheriffs, lifeguards and some other public safety workers go to binding arbitration when bargaining stalls. A three-member arbitration panel would pick one side's final offer on each open issue, and its decision would be final without a vote of the Board of Supervisors. The measure also bans strikes by the covered workers.
- County Measure E: County Ethics Commission independence and community investment set-aside
County Measure E would rewrite the County Charter's rules for the Los Angeles County Ethics Commission and its staff office, the Office of Ethics Compliance. It sets how the seven commissioners are chosen, gives the Commission power to investigate and fine people who break County ethics, lobbying and campaign finance laws, and sets a minimum budget of $14.3 million a year starting in 2027-28. It also keeps the County's existing rule that at least 10% of locally generated unrestricted general fund revenue goes to community investment and alternatives to incarceration, and extends that duty to the elected County Executive.
