What's new in Los Angeles city government
- City Planning Commission: The Commission's Nov. 12 agenda lists public hearings on three citywide Missing Middle LA ordinances. They would update ADU rules and let qualifying ADUs be sold as condominiums, put state lot-split and starter home rules into City code, and set Lot Amenity Space rules for developments of fewer than six units.
- Los Angeles City Council: The Clerk's meeting record shows the Council adopted a Cornfield Arroyo Seco Specific Plan ordinance requiring conditional use permits for warehouses over 15,000 square feet, 13-0, on Oct. 28. The Clerk sent it to the Mayor on Nov. 2, with Nov. 13 as the last day to act (CF 13-0078-S2).
- Harbor Area Planning Commission: The Commission's Nov. 10 agenda lists a rehearing of an appeal over truck and trailer parking permits at 832 N. Dominguez Ave. The agenda says a Superior Court judgment ordered the Commission to deny the appeal and reinstate the permits.
- South Valley Area Planning Commission: The Commission's Nov. 12 agenda lists a zone change and a height adjustment to 33 feet for six small lot homes at 12243 W. Riverside Drive in Valley Village.
- Empowerment Congress North Area Neighborhood Development Council: The board's revised Nov. 5 agenda asks it to urge the City to reconsider raising the fee for appeals filed by non-applicants from $229 to $1,145 for residents within a project's notice radius and $2,289 for those outside it (CF 09-0969-S4).
