Independence and funding

CityHallPass is an independent project. It is not paid for by any candidate, campaign committee, political party, union, company or government agency, and none of them has any say over what we publish.

Our rules

• We don't take money, ads or sponsorships from candidates, ballot measure committees or anyone lobbying the City.
• We don't coordinate with any campaign on what we write or when we publish it.
• We don't endorse candidates or measures, and we don't tell anyone how to vote.
• We never pay to promote a page about a candidate or a measure.
• We don't print or mail voter guides.
• If how we're funded ever changes, we'll say so on this page before that money is spent.

Not a government site

CityHallPass isn't affiliated with the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, the Los Angeles Unified School District or the State of California. We don't use their seals or logos. "City Hall" in our name describes what we cover. It doesn't mean we speak for it.
