Corrections policy
If a page on CityHallPass gets a fact wrong, we fix it and add a dated note to the bottom of that page saying what changed.
What counts as a correction
Any change to a fact: a number, a date, a name, what a measure does, or who gave money to a campaign. We fix typos and broken links without a note. When a new filing changes a page, such as a new campaign finance report, we change the page's updated date instead.
How to report an error
Email [email protected] with the page and a link to the record that shows the error. We review every request and note any correction on the page with its date.
How fast we correct
When a correction request shows we got a fact wrong, we correct the page within three weeks of receiving the request, and usually much sooner. The correction appears on the same page, as prominently as the original statement, with the date. If the error also went out in an email update, the correction goes in the next one.
If a page is about you
If you are named on a page and want to respond or dispute something, write to [email protected] with the page and what you'd like us to check. Correction demands and legal notices can also be mailed to CityHallPass, 13027 Victory Blvd, Suite 412, North Hollywood, CA 91606, or sent to [email protected].
How pages are made
We use AI tools to help research and draft pages. Every fact links to its source, and a person reviews and approves every page before it's published. Corrections follow the same review.
