The agenda sets the special teleconference meeting for Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom or by telephone. It was posted on Oct. 9 (City agenda index). The council’s regular meeting had been noticed for Monday, Oct. 12; the posting for that date now reads “THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED. THE BOARD WILL INSTEAD HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2026,” and lists the same items (cancelled Oct. 12 agenda). Public comment is two minutes per speaker (agenda).
Flooding runs through the agenda. The Public Safety Committee report lists a sandbag filling and distribution event on Oct. 25 at 12:30 p.m. at LAFD Station 44, 1410 Cypress Avenue, and a cleanup of streets and storm drains “ahead of potential El Niño conditions.” The River Committee report lists an Oct. 7 disaster action plan recommendation, a community sandbag program and drainage concerns on Hollydale, Tyburn and Ingledale, and items G.10 through G.14 are the committee’s letters and statements (agenda). Several items return from the board’s Sept. 14 agenda: the hats and keychains, the In the Mailroom contract, the East Bank Riverway letter and the CF 25-0481 statement. Minutes of that meeting are themselves on this agenda for approval (item G.17), so the outcomes of the September versions are not in the record yet.

- Related council action: The board’s Sept. 14 agenda listed a letter on pre-winter flood preparedness and a statement supporting CF 26-1169, the Council’s El Niño emergency planning motion, on which Council action was final Sept. 18, 2026.
