Central San Pedro Neighborhood Council
The Central San Pedro Neighborhood Council covers central San Pedro; about two-thirds of its area is in the San Pedro community plan area and the rest in the Port of Los Angeles plan area. Anyone who lives, works or owns property in the area, or declares a stake in it as a community interest stakeholder, is a stakeholder (Plan for a Citywide System of Neighborhood Councils).
Latest
On Aug. 7 the council filed Community Impact Statements on four council files: CF 18-0651-S3 on crisis and bridge housing in San Pedro, CF 26-1100-S13 on a Charter amendment for the Nov. 3 ballot, CF 20-0190 on arming park rangers on duty and CF 26-0212 on e-bike use at White Point Nature Preserve; its July 21 agenda listed the first as support and the second as opposition (agenda). The Aug. 18 agenda included a statement opposing CF 26-0906-S4, which would require most board members to take CERT training (agenda), and the Sept. 15 agenda included a letter on the community garden at 1400 N. Gaffey St. and a motion to remove a board member for absences (agenda).
