The Homelessness and Health Committee of the Los Angeles City Council reviews homelessness programs and spending, including the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, interim and permanent supportive housing, Proposition HHH and Measure A homelessness funds, and public and mental health matters and sends recommendations to the full Council, which makes the final decision (Council resolution, CF 26-2000). The Los Angeles City Council's Homelessness and Health Committee meets Oct. 14, 2026 on six items, led by the City Administrative Officer's updated Alliance Settlement bed plan, under which the City must have 14,000 housing and shelter solutions in place by June 30, 2027, a motion for a 90-day strategy to end Transitional Aged Youth homelessness and a motion for a plan on encampments and outreach during the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games (agenda). At its first meeting on Sept. 9 the committee approved, as amended, the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Second Homelessness Funding Report (report), which the Council adopted with a further amendment on Sept. 16, 12-1. It also approved a motion directing the City Administrative Officer to report on how money budgeted for expanding the RV to Home program will be allocated to Council offices (report), which the Council adopted Sept. 18, 11-0. Its Sept. 23 meeting was cancelled (agenda).
