Published October 1, 2026 · Updated October 2, 2026

The Bel Air-Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council covers the hillsides between Sunset Boulevard and Mulholland Drive from the I-405 Freeway east to Laurel Canyon Boulevard (BABCNC boundaries), with board seats for Bel Air, Holmby Hills, Beverly Glen, Benedict Canyon and Laurel Canyon groups (board). The board has filed Community Impact Statements on at least ten council files since July. Five, voted July 22, deal with short-term rentals and party houses: it opposed the Vacation Rental Ordinance (CF 18-1246) and the temporary Vacation Rental Program (CF 25-0029-S1) and backed higher fines for repeat party houses (CF 12-1824-S3). On Aug. 26 it backed SB 1301 on homeowner insurance non-renewals (CF 25-0002-S132) and asked that the City's El Niño preparations cover hillside areas (CF 26-1169).
