Chatsworth Neighborhood Council
The Chatsworth Neighborhood Council covers Chatsworth, in the northwest San Fernando Valley, in Council District 12. Under the City's Plan for a Citywide System of Neighborhood Councils, anyone who lives, works or owns property in the area is a stakeholder, as is anyone who declares a community interest there through a school, nonprofit, religious or other community group.

The Chatsworth Neighborhood Council's board and its Land Use and Equestrian Committee meet jointly on Oct. 13 on an agenda that lists a review of a proposed 215,000-square-foot eldercare facility with 101 independent living units, 61 assisted living units and 20 memory care rooms at 10963-11063 Old Santa Susana Pass Road, the appeal outcome for a four-lot subdivision at 21126 and 21128 W. Chatsworth St., and a proposed May 2, 2027 date for the Day of the Horse. The same agenda says the board took no action on a Community Impact Statement letter on the City's Missing Middle LA proposal, which was on the board's Oct. 7 agenda along with an $8,000 starting budget for the Day of the Horse and a website vendor change at up to $2,400 for the year (Oct. 7 meeting page). The September 21 joint board and Outreach Committee agenda listed a possible Community Impact Statement supporting Councilmember Monica Rodriguez's August 25 motion for a permanent park gate closure program and up to $150 for a vigil for victims of the September 15 bus and helicopter crashes in Chatsworth.
