9. $500 limit on Neighborhood Purpose Grants
- What it asks: Updates the council’s grant guidebook for fiscal year 2027: each applicant may present twice a year at most, and the limit on a single Neighborhood Purpose Grant is revised to $500 (agenda).
- What happened: Tabled. Board members and public speakers said $500 was too low and suggested limits of $700 to $1,500. A first motion to table failed; a second passed on a vote (minutes).
10. Southwest Museum campus
- What it asks: A Request for Action asking CD 14 to bring together stakeholders, explore public purchase or shared stewardship and seek more protections for the historic Southwest Museum campus, keeping public access and Indigenous and community participation (agenda).
- What happened: “No objections or abstentions and thus motion passes,” moved by Steve Crouch and seconded by Alex Romero (minutes).
11. Statement on the Lineage Logistics fire
- What it asks: A Community Impact Statement in solidarity with Boyle Heights residents calling for environmental testing, health protections, oversight and community participation, and opposing any permit for Lineage Logistics, the owner or a successor to rebuild or resume industrial work at 1400 S. Los Palos St. until investigations and cleanup are complete. The agenda names no council file (agenda).
- What happened: “No objections or abstentions and thus motion passes,” moved by Steve Crouch and seconded by Alex Romero (minutes).
12. Police Museum proposal for 6045 York Blvd.
- What it asks: Sets the council’s next steps for reviewing the Los Angeles Police Museum’s proposed use of City-owned property at 6045 York Blvd., including review procedures, eligibility, responsibilities and community benefit (agenda).
- What happened: No action was taken. One board member recused herself. In discussion, board members said the museum’s public assembly room is not made available to the community and raised forming an ad hoc committee (minutes).

- At-Large seat: Three people were nominated. The minutes say Robert Acosta “received the majority of the vote” and was appointed; the agenda and the minutes’ nominee list spell the name “Ocosta” (minutes; agenda).
