North Westwood Neighborhood Council

The North Westwood Neighborhood Council covers UCLA, Westwood Village, the North Village and Persian Square (NWWNC). Anyone who lives, works or owns property in the area, or declares a stake in it as a community interest stakeholder, is a stakeholder (Plan for a Citywide System of Neighborhood Councils).

The North Westwood Neighborhood Council's Oct. 7 board meeting agenda listed possible action on a 14-story, 88-unit building at 11045 Strathmore Dr., which the City Planning Commission is set to hear Oct. 21, on the name of the Metro station on Wilshire serving Westwood Village and UCLA, and on the Westwood Boulevard Safety and Mobility Project (agenda). The same agenda listed up to $15,003.99 for Neighborhood Purposes Grants, and minutes of the meeting were not posted on the City's agenda index as of Oct. 8, 2026. In September the City Clerk logged Community Impact Statements from North Westwood on 19 council files, including the amended 2028 Games Agreement, the automated speed camera contract and the Ohio Avenue safety project. Its Sept. 2 agenda also listed a statement on Olympics-related homeless encampment resolution and a refiled statement on replacing plastic bike-lane bollards with concrete barriers (CF 26-0600-S105).
