The other nine committee items are discussions, including tabling at the Palms Farmers Market on Nov. 15, Public Safety Month and ADA compliance for the council's website and social media; one, a summer mixer at Irish Times, may also get a motion.

IV.d. Community Impact Statement on an LA28 spending commitment (CF 15-0989-S75)
- What it does: Authorizes the council to submit a Community Impact Statement on CF 15-0989-S75 “that is neutral and supports a letter circulated by Council Member Yaroslavsky.” The agenda does not include the letter or say what it asks (agenda).
- The council file: The motion directs the Bureau of Contract Administration, the Chief Legislative Analyst, the City Administrative Officer and the Mayor’s Office to ask LA28 for a “guaranteed, measurable, City of Los Angeles-specific procurement spending commitment,” separate from LA28’s five-county definition of local business. It asks those offices to report back within 15 days and asks LA28 for a written response (motion).
- Who brought it: Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson, seconded by Monica Rodriguez and Hugo Soto-Martinez (CF 15-0989-S75).
- Money: The motion says a target of about 40% of LA28’s addressable procurement spending could mean an estimated $1.2 billion for businesses in the City (motion).
- Neighborhood council positions: No Community Impact Statements were on the file as of Oct. 12, 2026 (CF 15-0989-S75).
- What’s next: The Ad Hoc Committee on the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games approved the motion 4-0 on Sept. 30, 2026 (Journal). The file lists the committee’s report, and no Council vote was recorded as of Oct. 12, 2026 (CF 15-0989-S75).
