On the agenda: The Valley Village Neighborhood Council noticed two special board meetings on Zoom for July 1, 2026. The 7 p.m. agenda listed nine budget and spending motions, including up to $4,500 for National Night Out on Aug. 4, up to $2,500 to repair the gateway sign at Laurel Canyon Boulevard and the 101 Freeway, and three neighborhood purposes grants totaling $2,150 (our sum) for North Hollywood High School Band, Colfax School and Walter Reed School. The 7:30 p.m. agenda had one motion: up to $350 to the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment for the council's fiscal 2027 Canva account. As of Oct. 1, 2026, minutes were not on the City agenda index or the council's agendas and minutes page, which lists agendas only for 2026 board meetings, so outcomes are not known.

The City’s index lists two agendas for July 1, each a special meeting of the board on Zoom with items numbered 1 to 5: one for 7 p.m. and one for 7:30 p.m.. The letters in the item numbers here are ours: A is the 7 p.m. agenda and B is the 7:30 p.m. agenda. All of the motions are listed under the financial report, item 3 on each agenda. Both agendas give the next board meeting as July 22, 2026, in person.
