It found that Nazarian, then an Assembly member, filed a behested payment report (Form 803) late for a payment the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation made at his behest on Dec. 23, 2021 to the State ScholarShare Investment Board. On Jan. 23, 2014 the FPPC closed case 14/0020 against Nazarian and Nazarian for Assembly 2012 with a warning letter after a Franchise Tax Board audit. The audit found no ballot measure contribution report for a $25,000 contribution to the California Democratic Party, no election cycle report for a $2,500 contribution received and no $5,000 report for a $7,800 contribution received (FPPC warning letter).
  • FPPC stipulation, Statement of Economic Interests (2010). Nazarian agreed to a $400 penalty in FPPC case 09/0886 for not reporting on his 2008 annual Form 700 gifts from the Recording Industry Association of America received about Feb. 26, 2008: concert tickets ($96.75), transportation ($56.25) and refreshments ($19.94).
