The Planning and Land Use Management Committee of the Los Angeles City Council reviews land use and zoning, the General Plan and community plans, appeals of planning decisions, historic monuments, building codes, and the Planning and Building and Safety departments and sends recommendations to the full Council, which makes the final decision (Council resolution, CF 26-2000).
