North Hollywood West Neighborhood Council
The North Hollywood West Neighborhood Council covers the part of North Hollywood bounded by Roscoe Boulevard on the north, Vanowen Street on the south, Whitsett Avenue on the east and the Tujunga Wash on the west, per its bylaws; it is in Council District 2. Under the City's Plan for a Citywide System of Neighborhood Councils, anyone who lives, works or owns property in the area is a stakeholder, as is anyone who declares a community interest there through a school, nonprofit, religious or other community group.

The North Hollywood West Neighborhood Council's board on Sept. 9, 2026 approved its 2027 election worksheet 9-0, naming the Valley Plaza Branch Library as its polling place, and accepted $1,322.47 in rollover funds 4-0, according to minutes posted on the council's website (meeting page). The council's Oct. 14 board meeting agenda lists possible Community Impact Statements on Council File 26-1280, a citywide program to clean up, secure or demolish vacant nuisance properties, and Council File 26-1333, a staffing plan to plant trees in all vacant street tree wells, along with the Sept. 9 minutes for approval (agenda). The same agenda lists a storage unit rent increase to $156 a month from Nov. 1 (agenda).
