The Northridge South Neighborhood Council covers the southern part of Northridge, in the San Fernando Valley, in Council District 12. Latest as of October 8, 2026

The Northridge South Neighborhood Council's executive board committee meets online on Oct. 12 to prepare the agenda for the board's Oct. 22, 2026 meeting; its agenda asks the council's eight committees for items and does not name the proposed topics. The September 24 board agenda included a draft Community Impact Statement and letter of concern on Council Files 21-0002-S18 and 21-1414, about SB 9, stating that the council opposes the expansion of state housing laws that require ministerial approvals and preempt local land-use authority. The same agenda listed grants of up to $5,000 to the YMCA for Thanksgiving food baskets, up to $3,000 for the Granada Hills Street Fair and Car Show and up to $2,000 to SOLID.
